It's been too long...

February has been a very snow-filled month here in the Grand Rapids area.  That means that Keith has really put his snowblower to use around the neighborhood.  When we get snow, he usually blows our driveway, and two or three other neighbors' drives.  Keith doesn't mind doing a good deed in the neighborhood.  Plus, it helps us show some love to our neighbors.

"God's mercies are new every morning..."
On the job scene, Keith has been doing a lot of subbing in various schools around the Kent and Ottawa counties.  He's had various types of experiences ranging from great, "I want to go back there again," to not-so-great, "I'm not really interested in teaching there again," reviews.  Some of the districts he's taught in are Allendale, Zeeland, Hudsonville, Jenison, Grandville, Wyoming, Caledonia, and Forest Hills.  It's different everyday. He's actually enjoyed getting acquainted with many different teachers and made some new friends.  One bonus is he has received some hugs from former students that he had at Freedom!  For the month of February, God has provided work for every single day, whether it is a full day or a half day.  Some days he's been requested by various teachers, unfortunately, all for the same day!  It's so nice that he's getting his name out there, so to speak.  Teachers are passing the word that, "Keith Wittebols is a great sub!"  I'm so proud of him.  He's taken jobs in regular classrooms in the various grades as well as resource rooms.  He has found out that he really enjoys working with the kids that have learning problems.

Keith also has signed up to take a class, "Autism Spectrum Disorder."  When he completes this, he can apply for the renewal of his professional certificate.  By having his certification, he'll be qualified for a long-term sub job, if one were to become available.

We certainly do appreciate your continued prayers as we seek what God will have for Keith.  He's been our Great Provider these past months, and He promises to continue to be in our future.  God is so good!

Finally, I must ask you to pray for Keith's health.  This morning, we made a trip to the Emergency Room with Keith being in severe pain in his abdomen.  After various tests were done, they came to the conclusion that it was "probably his gall bladder."  He's had the pain before, but not for this long or this painful.  He was sent home with some pain medicine and orders to call his PCP.  He was able to get an appointment with a doctor tomorrow morning.  We'll see what he has to recommend.  In the meantime, we'll appreciate your prayers.
