A Temp Job....God Provides....

Sunday evening, Keith received a phone call from a good friend, Steve.  He wanted to know if Keith would be interested in helping him make a delivery to Lansing yesterday.  Keith was happy to help him.  In the morning, Steve picked him up.  Come to find out the items had been shipped and Steve made another pick up.  In the meantime, they get a call saying there needed to be a delivery made to El Paso, Texas.  Would Keith be interested?  He called me and I agreed he should do it.  He came home packed a small bag of items and then waited for a call as to when his flight would be leaving.  After awhile, he found out he would be leaving at 4:30 p.m.  He gets to the airport counter where he picked up his ticket and item to be shipped. Long story short, his flight was delayed out of Ford International to Denver.  He just missed his connecting flight, so waited for the next flight to El Paso.  Ended up in El Paso around 11:30 p.m.  The person he was suppose to hand off this item to did not show up right away.  After waiting 45 minutes, he was able to hand the item to the person he was suppose to meet.  Keith got in a cab, went to his hotel, got to bed at 1:15 a.m. Texas time, up at 4:00 a.m. and to the airport for his return flight home.  Presently, he's on his way to Denver, hoping to make his connecting flight to Grand Rapids.  He has 58 minutes.  Hopefully, things will go smoother and he'll arrive in Grand Rapids at his ETA of 2:21 p.m. today.  When I talked to Keith this morning, he said he'd do it again in a heartbeat.  God provides in many ways...

As Keith and I were talking, the other day, we know God has a plan for a job for him.  We just don't know what that particular job will be, whether it involves teaching or not.  For now, he'll do what he can do to pay our bills and put food on the table.  God is our wonderful Provider.  He is our all and we continue to trust Him completely for this whole situation.

I just can't say this enough...but, thank you for our friends and family who are keeping us in their prayers.

From my devotional today, "Jesus Calling," by Sarah Young:

"I am working on your behalf.  Bring Me all your concerns, including your dreams.  Talk with Me about everything, letting the Light of My Presence shine on your hopes and plans.  Spend time allowing My Light to infuse your dreams with life, gradually transforming them into reality.  This is a very practical way of collaborating with Me.  I, the Creator of the universe, have designed to co-create with you.  Do not try to hurry this process.  If you want to work with Me, you have to accept My time frame.  Hurry is not in My nature.  Abraham and Sarah had to wait many years for the fulfillment of My promise, a son.  How their long wait intensified their enjoyment of this child!  'Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses'."

Change of Address...blog address, that is!

Merry Christmas!
This post is mostly to announce our new blog address:  http://keithandmarsha.blogspot.com . Since we weren't able to upload any photos on the other blog, we had to start a different one.  We'll just have to limit the amount of photos we share with you.  This is where we'll be posting.  Feel free to "follow" this blog.  If you follow it, you get automatic updates when the posts are available.

THE JOB SCENE...
Marsha does love her job.  She's had so many friends/family ask if they are hiring any more customer service representatives.  According to my boss, the work will become very slow until around March and things will be picking up once again.  However, Marsha will not be recommending anyone for this job, unless she was asked by someone from her work.  If something were to happen that the job or person didn't work out, she would not want there to be hard feelings or lose a friend over it.  Marsha and her co-worker were talking about this very thing the other day.  She (co-worker) was saying this job is definitely not for just anyone. You get all kinds of scenarios and it does take certain types of people to be able to handle them.

Once again, thanks for your encouragement and continued prayers.  Just this morning, we were talking about the fact of how difficult it is to find work these days.  In fact, Marsha had mentioned to Keith the day or so before she was offered her job; that she had thrown her hands up in the air and said, "The only way I'll ever get a job is if someone I know has a position open or knows of one open."  That next day, the Lord provided Marsha's job.  This evening, as this was being written, a dear friend of ours called Keith and wanted to know if he would be interested in helping him with a job this week.  So, there you go!  Someone we know called Keith...most likely temporary, but at least it is something in the meantime of waiting for his sub permit to be issued.  God is our Provider...and He's been doing just that for us the last few months.  Thank You, Lord!
